The Jump$tart Fund is a micro-lending organization administered by the Refugee Resettlement Office of Seattle. Jump$tart provides small loans and business assistance to low-income immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs to help start and expand small businesses in the Seattle area.

What does it take to be a Community for Youth mentor? Dependability, patience, flexibility… and most of all, a relentless commitment to a young person’s success. CfY mentors come from all walks of life. They are single and married, in early careers and retired, of all ethnic groups, beliefs and lifestyles. In short, they are like our students – diverse, inquisitive, open to new experiences, and willing to grow and change.

Big Brothers Big Sisters serving King, Pierce & Jefferson Counties matches children ages 7 through 16 with mentors in professionally supported one-to-one relationships.

Individuals and groups that have special skills to share with youth in the arena of art, dance, music, poetry, writing or other subjects are welcome to collaborate with agency staff.

Assist students with homework assignments and study skills.
